I started Quartet because at my last company I lost a lead investor, two early customers, and a hire I'd been courting for a year — not to a competitor, to my own inbox. The investor said "send me an update in six weeks" and I sent it in fourteen. The customer wanted to be the third design partner; I remembered three months too late. The hire almost said yes.

Quartet is what I wish I'd had then. This is what I believe.

— On posture

A founder is not a sales rep.

Your day is fundraising and hiring and product calls and a customer fire — all relationships, none fit on a deal stage. Everyone you talk to lives in one place, sorted by when they last needed you and when they will next.

— On memory

The product is cadence, not contacts.

A list of names is a graveyard. What you need is a heartbeat — this investor is monthly, this customer weekly during onboarding then quarterly. If a relationship goes silent past its cadence, that is a bug in your week, and Quartet will tell you on Monday.

— On the inbox

Threads beat fields.

Real relationships sprawl across Gmail, iMessage, LinkedIn, and a stray SMS at the airport. Quartet reads every channel and threads it on the person, automatically. You write where you already write. Stage and status — inferred, editable when we're wrong.

— On AI

AI drafts, you send.

"AI sales" confuses volume with progress. Quartet drafts the follow-up that fits the relationship — the inside joke from three threads ago, the thing they asked about at dinner. You read it, edit a sentence, send it.

— On data

Your network is yours.

We will never train any model on your inbox, contacts, or relationship graph. Not ours, not anyone else's, not anonymized, not "to improve product quality." It's in the contract. Export is one click and it is clean — CSV, or a structured drop into Salesforce, HubSpot, or Attio.

— On scope

Made small, on purpose.

Quartet is for the first eighteen months — maybe thirty-six. We'd rather be indispensable for two years than mediocre for ten. When you outgrow us, we will help you leave.
